ACS880-604/-604LC Brake Chopper and Brake Unit
Brand: ABB GroupBrake choppers and brake units are used for resistor braking. They handle the energy generated by decelerating motors for example in emergency stopping. Whenever the voltage in the drive’s common DC bus exceeds a certain limit, a braking chopper connects the bus to a braking resistor.
